Natural Resources : Physical and biological components of nature.
Natural resources are physical and biological components of nature that makes our lives easier. We depend on natural resources for living. Air, water, soil, minerals, crops, etc. are natural resources. Resources like fruit, honey, milk, etc. that are found from living beings are called biotic resources.
Abiotic resources like minerals, oil, etc. are found from non-living things. Natural resources are unevenly distributed among different regions. It is an essential reason behind many countries’ international trade relationships. We have been using these natural resources excessively beyond our needs. But nowadays every country concerned about unplanned unlimited use of natural resources.
Many countries are focusing on recycling wastes and increasing the usage of renewable resources instead of non-renewable resources. When we use natural resources for our needs and don’t misuse them thinking about the future, it is called sustainable development. It means the balanced use of natural resources without compromising the need of the future generation.
