Best answer

Correct option is (a) 5

Distance between the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is given as \(\sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}\)

Given: A(10, 4) and B(7, 0)

AB = \(\sqrt{(7-10)^2 + (0 - 4)^2}\)

\(= \sqrt{(-3)^2 + (-4)^2}\)

\(= \sqrt{9 + 16}\)

\(= \sqrt{25}\)

\(= 5\)
