 The correct option (B) 819°C

Explanation:

Vrms = √(3RT/Mo)

Vrms = √T

To double the rms speed, temperature should be made four times is

i.e. T2 = 4 T1

∴ T2 = 4 × 273 = 1092K

∴ T2 = 819°C
