Given that:

\(5 = \frac{5W + 2\omega}{5 + 2}\) and \(5.1 = \frac{7W + 3\omega}{7 + 3}\), find W and ω.

(a) W = 3, ω = 10

(b) W = 10, ω = 3

(c) W = –10, ω = 3

(d) W = 3, ω = –10

Best answer

Correct option is (a) W = 3, ω = 10

Given,

Adding eq(1) and eq(2), we get

−15W − 6w = −105

 14W + 6w = 102

−W = −3

W = 3

Putting the value of W = 3 in eq(1)

35 = 5 × 3 + 2w

2w = 20

w = 10
