Best answer

Correct option is (b) \(2\frac 12,-2\)

2p(p - 3) + 5(p - 2) = 0

2p2 - 6p + 5p - 10 = 0

⇒ 2p2 - p - 10 = 0

⇒ 2p2 - 5p + 4p - 10 = 0

⇒ p(2p - 5p) + 2(2p - 5) = 0

⇒ (p + 2) (2p - 5) = 0

⇒ p = -2 or \(\frac 52\)

⇒ p = -2 or \(2\frac 12\)
