Best answer

Correct option is (c) A ≤ 72

Let l be the length of the carpet and b be the breadth.

It is given that

l ≤ 12m

b ≤ 6m

Area = A

= l × b

Hence maximum area is achieved when l = 12cm and b = 6cm

Hence

Amax = l × b

= 72m2

Hence

A ≤ 72m2
