Correct option is (b) 12

The table will have the dimensions, length = 4 − 2(0.25) = 3.5m

Breadth = 2 − 2(0.25) = 1.5m

Area of the table top = l × b

= 3.5 × 1.5

= 5.25 m²

Cost of polishing the top of the table at Rs 2.25 per square meters 

= Rs2.25 × 5.25

= Rs.11.8125

= Rs.12
