Why haloarenes are less reactive than the haloalkanes towards nucleophilic substitution?

(i) In haloarenes, there is partial double bond character between the carbon and halogen due to resonance effect which makes them less reactive. 

(ii) In benzene, carbon is sp2 hybridized whereas in haloalkanes alpha is sp3 hybridized. So, C-X bond in haloarenes is shorter and stronger.
