Best answer

3/2 moles of Cl2 will react with 3/2 moles of H2 to give

3/2 x 2 =  3.0  moles of HCl. So the total number of moles in the reaction.

=(2 - 3/2) + 0 + 3 = 3.5

Partial pressure of HCl = 3 x 700/3.5 =  600 mm
