Best answer

Correct option is: (2) \(2^n\)

PCR i.e., polymerase chain reaction amplifies DNA as per the equation \(2^n\), where ‘n’ refers to number of cycles.

Thus, say, if 3 PCR cycles will run, then \(2^3 \ \text{i.e.,}\ 2 \times 2 \times 2 \Rightarrow 8\) DNA fragments will be formed.
