If speed of sound in air in 330 m/s then find the number of tones present in an open organ pipe of length 1m whose frequency if  1000.

Correct option (4) 6

Explanation:

fundamental frequency  f = v/2l = 330/(2 x 1) = 165Hz

∴ number of overtones allowed  = 1000/165 = 6.
