Smallest prime number = 2

Smallest composite number = 4

2 = 2 × 1

4 = 2 × 2

HCF (2, 4) = 2

Therefore the HCF of smallest prime number and smallest composite number is 2.

Smallest prime number is 2,and the smallest composite number is 4 so the HCF of these two is 2, because 2 ones are and 2 twos are 4 so the HCF of these two numbers is 2.
