The electric field component of an electromagnetic plane wave traveling in a vacuum is given by vector E =  E0 sin( kx + ωt) y,  where E0 = 300 V/m and k = 1.25 x 107/m. What is the magnetic field component of the electromagnetic wave?

We know that sin(kx+ωt) corresponds to a wave traveling in the –x direction and we know that the direction of propagation of an electromagnetic wave is given by vector E x B and hence,

where I also used B = E/c.
