Best answer

Correct option  (B) 2 kg , (C) 18 kg

Explanation:

fmax = 20 × 0.4 × 10 = 80 N

For equilibrium

minimum value of m

 m(10) = 100 – 80

⇒ m = 2 kg

maximum value of m

⇒ m(10) = 100 + 80

⇒ m = 18 kg

So, (B) and (C) are correct.

m= 2kg

At equilibrium sum of forces =0

Thus 10g- mg= 0.4×20g

Thus 10-m=8

Hence m = 2kg
