Define compressibility factor (Z). What is the value of compressibility factor Z in an ideal gas and non-ideal (real gas)?

It is defined as the ratio of product pV and RT Mathematically, Z = PV/nRT

For ideal gas, Z = 1

For real gas, Z > 1 or Z < 1.
