The K.E. (K), of the electrons, having an associated deBroglie wavelength, B λ , is 1/2 (n > 1) times the energy of a photon of an e.m. radiation, of wavelength λ. The graph, that correctly depicts the relation between (appropriate functions), of B λ and λ , is graph labelled as graph

Best answer

Correct option : (4) D

Explanation :

The deBroglie wavelength (λB) is related to the kinetic energy (K), of the electron beam, through the relation:

Energy (E) of the a photon of e.m. radiation, of wavelength, is given by E = hc/λ

The graph (D), is the only graph that correctly shows this relation between λ2B and λ.
