K E. at the lowest position = 1/2 mv2 = 1/2m x (3)2 = 9/2 m.

When the length makes an angle θ (= 60°) to the vertical, the bob of the pendulum will have both K E. and P E. . If v is velocity of bob at this position and h is the height of the bob w.r.t. O . Then total energy of the bob E = 1/2mv2 + mgh
