Explanation:

Percht’s Process −> In this process CO2 gas is passed in the suspension of magnesium carbonate trihydrate in the solution of potassium chloride thus forming an insoluble double salt.

This double salt is then heated with water under pressure. This salt is decomposed to give water soluble K2CO3 and water insoluble MgCO3.
