ABCD is a trapezium. (AB || DC) .  P and Q are two points on AD and BC respectively. AP : PD = BQ : QC.  Prove that  PQ || DC.

ABCD is a trapezium.

AB // DC

AP /PD = BQ / QC

Therefore by midpoint theorem,

PQ // DC

But AB // DC

Hence PQ // DC.

Hence Proved.
