What fiscal and monetary policies can be adopted to correct deflationary gap ?

In a deflationary situation, the following measures may be taken to control the deficient demand.

Fiscal measures – 

a) increasing govt. expenditure. 

b) reducing the tax rate and tax base. 

Monetary Measures – 

a) decrease the rate of interest. 

b) decrease the reserve ratio. 

c) decrease the bank rate. 

d) purchasing of the securities by the commercial banks. 

e) liberal in lending loans
