For the circuit shown below, what will be the value of RL to get the maximum power? What is the maximum power delivered to the load ?

Detach RL and apply Thevenin’s Theorem. 

VTH = 5.696 volts, RTH = 11.39 Ω 

RL must be 11.39 ohms for maximum power transfer. 

Pmax = 0.712 watt.
