If  be the roots of the equation u2 – 2u + 2 = 0 & if cot θ = x + 1, then (x+ α)n - (x+β)n/ α-β is equal to: 

(A) sin n θ /sinθ

Correct option is (A)

Explanation:

u2 - 2u + 2 = 0

⇒ (u-1)2 =-1

⇒ u - 1 = ± 1

⇒ u = 1 + i, 1 - i =(α,β) 

cot θ = x + 1
