A clock strikes once at 1 o'clock, twice at 2 o'clock and thrice at 3 o'clock, and so on. If it takes 12 seconds to strike at 5 o'clock, what is the time taken by it to strike at 10 o'clock?

Correct option (b) 24 seconds

Explanation:

At 5 o’clock the clock will strike 5 times. It’s given that it takes 12 seconds to do so. Now, at 10 o’clock the clock will strike 10 times. Hence, the time taken by it to strike = 12 × 2 = 24 seconds
