The bar, which is 1.0 m long, extends by 2.5 mm when carrying a load of 120 kN. Determine the modulus of elasticity of the material of the bar.

Force, F = 120 kN = 120000 N and crosssectional area A = (15x)10−6 m2, where x is the width of the rectangular bar in millimetres
