If a, b, c, are in A.P, then find the determinant of |(x + 2, x + 3, x + 2a), (x + 3, x + 4, x + 2b), (x + 4, x + 5, x + 2c)|

(using R2 → 2R2 − R1 − R3)

But a,b, c are in AP. Using 2b = a + c, we get

[Since, all elements of R2 are zero]
