Given a triangle ABC with AB = 2 and AC = 1. Internal Bisector of ∠BAC intersects BC at D. If AD = BD and ∆ is the area of triangle ABC, then find the value of 12∆2.

AB = 2, AC = 1, BC = a

CD = 1/(1 + 2)(a), DB = 2a/3, AD = 2a/3

Length of angle bisector = (2bccos(A/2))/(b + c) = 2a/3
