Let f: {1, 2}  {1, 4} and g: {1, 2} → {1, 4} such that f(x) = x2 & g(x) = 3x – 2 Is f = g?

Here, Df = {1, 2} = Dg and Rf = {1, 4} = Rg

Also f(1) = 1, f(2) = 4 and g(1) = 1, g(2) = 4

Thus all the conditions of equal functions are satisfied.

Hence, f = g
