Best answer

At. Mass of Nitrogen = 14

At. Mass of Hydrogen = 1

Molecular mass of Ammonia (NH3) = (14 x 1) = (1 x 3 )

= 17

No of moles = Mass/ Molecular mass

= 8.5/17 = 0.5

NO of moles present in 8.5 of Ammonia= 0.5
