A real gas changes its state from state I (5 atm, 4L, 300K) to state II (3 atm, 2L, 100K). If change in internal energy is 30 L atm. Calculate change in enthalpy.

The correct answer is (A)

Solution:

∆H = H2-H1

H = U+P*V

So ∆H = ∆U + P2v2 - P1v1

= 30+6-20

=16 L atm
