2x – 1 < [2x]  2x

3x – 1 < [3x]  3x 

 ... ... ... ...

nx – 1 < [nx]  nx

By adding we get, 

(1 + 2 + 3 ... + n)x – n < ([x] + [2x] + [3x] + ... + ([nx])  (1 + 2 + 3 + ... + n)x – n
