Let the initial and final volumes of the gas be V1 and V2 m3 respectively. Given that the initial pressure (P1) 1 x 105 Pa, final temperature be T2

We have p1 V1 = n1RT1

Solving eqns. (i) and (ii), we get

(a) The final temperature, T2 = 207 K

(b) The final volume V2 = 0.043578 m3
