If sinθ = 8/17 and cosβ = 9/41' find sin(θ + β), cos(θ +  β), sin(q − β) and cos(θ − β), where θ is an obtuse angle and b is an acute angle.

Since sinθ = 8/17, we have

As θ is obtuse, cosθ is negative. Therefore, cosθ = 15/17

As β is acute, sinβ is positive. Hence
