A car 'A' moving at 10 m/s on a straight road, is ahead of car 'B' moving in the same direction at 6 m/s. Find the velocity of 'A' relative to 'B' and vice versa.

The velocity of car AvA=10 m/s 

The velocity of car B  vB=6m/s

The relative velocity is the difference between both velocities.

The formula of the relative velocity is defined as

The velocity of A relative to B is

vAB=vA-VB

vAB=10-6=4M/S

The velocity of B relative to A is

vAB=vB-VA

vBA=6-10=-4 m/s

Hence, The velocity of A relative to B and vice versa is 4 m/s and -4 m/s.
