A small pin is fixed on a table and it is viewed from a distance of 50 cm from above. A glass slab of thickness 15 cm is placed just above the pin, paralled to surface of table, then image of this pin will be viewed at what height? Draw the sketch also.

Given real depth = 15 cm

μ = 1.5

Let the opponent depth be x

Distance through which the pin appears to be raised is 15 - 10 = 5 cm.
