A converging lens forms a real image I on its optic axis. A rectangular glass slab of refractive index μ and thickness t is introduced between the lens and I. I will move

(a) away from the lens by t(μ - 1)

(b) towards the lens by t(μ - 1)

(c) away from the lens by t(1 - 1/μ)

Correct Answer is: (c) away from the lens by t(1 - 1/μ)

Rays coming from the lens formed the image at I initially. Due to refraction in the slab, the rays would move as shown and form the image at I'.
