Temperature Heat
1. The degree of hotness of a body is called temperature 1. The flow heat energy from one.body to another, due to a temperature difference between the two, is called heat.
2. Average kinetic- energy possessed by each molecule of a body is called temperature. 2. Total kinetic energy possessed by all molecules called heat.
3. Two bodies in thermal equilibrium with each other must have the same temperature. 3. Two bodies in thermal equilibrium with each other may not have the same amount of heat.
4. Temperature is measured in the units like, kelvin, degree celsius, degree Fahrenheit etc. 4. Heat is measured in calorie as well as in jolues.
