2x2 + 2x + a + 37 > 0, ∀ x ∈ R 

As D < 0, we have

4 − 4(a + 3)4 < 0

⇒ 1 − 4(a + 3) < 0

⇒ 1 < 4a + 12

⇒ -11 < 4a,a > -11/4

⇒ 7 − a > 0, a < 7, 7 − a ≠ 1, 6 ≠ a
