The given differential equation is

(dy/dx) + p(x)y = q(x)

which is a linear differential equation.

∴ IF = e∫p(x) dx = ep(x) x

Hence, the solution is

y.ep(x) x = ∫(ep(x)x.q(x)) dx + c
