A vehicle is moving with a velocity v, on a curved road of width 'b' and radius of 'r'. For counteracting the centrifugal force on the vehicle, what difference in elevation is required in between the outer and inner edges of the road?

tanθ = v2/rg' sinθ = h/b

Since θ small, sinθ = tanθ

or, tanθ = h/b

Then equating we have, v2/rg' = h/b

⇒ h = bv2/rg'

which gives the required elevation.
