Marchantia vegetatively propagate by forming a multicelled gemmae. In marchantia the gemmae develops in the gemmae Cup. The gemma is small, spherical, flattened structure with a conscious depression on each size,the growing point lies in depression: the gemma grows out in dichotomous branched thallus when it is detached from the gemma cup.
