In the circuit shown, R1 = 4Ω, R2 = R3 = 5Ω, R4 = 10Ω and E = 6V. Work out the equivalent resistance of the circuit and the current in each resistor.

Effective resistance of R2, R3 and R4 in parallel, is 1/R = 1/R2 + 1/R3 + 1/R4 = 1/5 + 1/5 + 1/10 = (2+ 2 + 1)/10
