Answer is (C) √(2/3)

We have the points A(5, −1, 4) and B(4, −1, 3) which join a line segment. Now,

AB = ((4 - 5)2 + (-1 - (-1))2 + (3 - 4)2) = (1 + 1)  = 2

The direction ratio of AB is <1, 0, 1>.

Let the angle between line AB and the plane be θ.

sinθ = 2/6

cosθ = 1/3

The projection of line AB on the plane is

ABcosθ = √(2/3)
