Correct Answer is: (B) K2[PtCl6]

i = van’t Hoff factor = 1 + (y – 1) x

(y= number of ions, x = degree of ionisation)

In (a) oxidation number of Pt = 2 ; 

In (b) oxidation number of Pt = 4
