The tendency of metals to lose electrons increases as we go down a group. So, the reactivity of metals increases down the group. Thus, in group 1, the reactivity follows the order

The reactivity of non-metals in a group decreases as we go down the group.This is because the tendency to accept electrons decreases down the group.
