We have, 

Number of seats = 9

Here, 4 even places and 5 odd places. 

∴ 4 even places can be filled with 4 women in ⁴P₄ = 4! ways and 5 odd places can be filled with 5 men in ⁵P₅ =5! ways. 

Required number of ways = 5! x 4! 

= 120 x 24 = 2880
