Two types of biomolecules are

Biomacromolecules Biomacromolecules
(a) These molecules have their molecular weight less than one thousand daltons. (a) These biomolecules have molecular weight in the range of ten thousand daltons and above.
(b) These are found in the acid-soluble fraction.
Eg: amino acids, sugars, alkaloids, etc
(b) These are found in the acid-insoluble fraction.
Eg: proteins, nucleic acids polysaccharides, etc.
