Enthalpy of a system is defined as "its internal energy plus the pressure-volume work" i.e., enthalpy

H = E + pV

Where E = Internal energy of system

pV = pressure - Volume work

At constant pressure, the change in enthalpy (ΔH) is given by

ΔH = ΔE + pΔV
