Change in internal energy:- Change in internal energy is the difference in the internal energies of the products and the reactants involved in the reaction. Thus

ΔE = E(products) - E(Reactants)

= Eρ - Er

The value of ΔE is positive if Eρ > Er and is negative in case. Eρ < Er.
