K, Rb and Cs are more reactive therefore, they form superoxide in preference to oxides and peroxides K⁺ ,Rb⁺ and Cs⁺ ions are large cations and superoxide ion O₂^- , is also large. Larger cations stabilize larger anions, therefore, they form superoxide.
