CaCO3(s) \(\overset{heat}{\longrightarrow}\) CaO + CO2

NH3 + H2O → NH4+ + OH-

Na+ + Cl- + NH4+ + OH- + CO2 → Na+ + HCO3- + NH4+ + Cl-

Na+ + HCO3 → NaHCO3 (as precipitate)

NH4+ + Cl- → NH4Cl (in soluble)

2NaHCO3 \(\overset{heat}{\longrightarrow}\) Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2

2NaCO3 + 10H2O → Na2CO3.10H2O
